There is always room in the circle!

Our Sunday worship celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. (10 a.m. in the summer), and all are warmly welcome! Children serve as acolytes to light our altar candles at the start of the service. Children attend the first twenty minutes of worship. Following a childrenís sermon with the pastor, they go to Sunday School classes. There is opportunity during the worship service for the sharing of joys and concerns for prayer. Our worship is enhanced by the music of our adult choir and bell choir, as well as our childrenís choir and bell choir. Projections of lyrics, responses and images enhance our worship experience. On the first Sunday of each month the sacrament of Holy Communion is offered to anyone worshipping with us.

Worship is followed by Coffee Hour, an opportunity for friendship and refreshment in our fellowship hall.

If you are looking for a church to have your baby baptized, there is nothing we would rather do!!! HOWEVER, in the United Methodist Church the entire congregation participates in the sacrament of holy baptism. It occurs in our primary worship service, and in the course of the liturgy everyone present answers the following question: "Will you nurture one another in the Christian faith and life and include this child and his or her parents in your care?" The whole congregation is invited to respond: "With Godís help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the example of Christ. We will surround you and your child with a community of love and forgiveness, that they may grow in their service to others. We will pray for them, that they may be true disciples who walk in the way that leads to life."

The Christian life is not a solo affair. It is lived out intentionally with others. As your child grows, and as you embrace the holy calling of parenting, a community of faith to support you will be truly invaluable. So before we talk about scheduling a baptism, start coming to worship regularly. We think you will be struck by the invisible presence of Jesus and moved by the love of our community and the blessing children receive from growing up surrounded by it. If you decide you want to be a part of the circle of Godís love that is found here and raise your child among us, we trust you will be able to answer with a clear conscience the question Pastor Jeff will ask you in the course of the baptismal liturgy: "Will you nurture your child whom we are about to baptize in Christ's holy church, that by your teaching and example she or may be guided to accept God's grace for herself or himself, to profess their faith openly, and to lead a Christian life?"

If you would like to have
